Health, Safety and Environmental Policy
Shiloh Industries, Inc. in accordance with its “Core Value
Statement”, conducts its worldwide operations in a manner that is
protective of its employees, the public and the environment. As such,
Shiloh Industries is committed to achieving and maintaining compliance
with applicable legal and other requirements, including customer
specific requirements. The Company maintains certification to the ISO
14001 Environmental Management Systems Standard and is committed to the
continual improvement of health, safety and environmental performance.
The employees of Shiloh Industries, Inc. are aware of the principles
defined in this policy and are responsible for carrying out these
principles. All Shiloh Industries locations display this policy and it
is available to the public.
Health and Safety
The protection of employee health and safety is a value of the
organization and is the responsibility of each employee. Employees are
responsible to conduct their activities in accordance with the safest
possible work practices and in a manner that is protective of their own
safety and that of their co-workers. Established Company rules and
procedures shall be followed and a proper attitude toward accident and
injury prevention shall be maintained. Managers and supervisors are
accountable for the safety of their employees.
Shiloh Industries ensures its employees know and understand how to use
appropriate equipment, tools, procedures and personal protective
equipment and have the requisite training to assist them in performing
their jobs safely. Shiloh Industries reviews its practices, procedures
and management systems and implements the necessary actions to maintain
and improve the health and safety of its employees.
Environmental
Shiloh Industries conducts its operations in a manner that is
protective of the environment. Waste minimization and pollution
prevention are key objectives of this policy. Environmental aspects of
the Company’s activities, products and services are periodically
assessed and objectives and targets are established for reducing impacts
to the environment.
